Mark Davies

This series is a look at media through the lens of classical painting and contemporary animation.  By taking the dramatic gestures depicted in the paintings of Titian, Goya and Reni my aim is to subvert their meaning and unpack contemporary values of art and more importantly ‘the sacred’.  I ask the question ‘has media truncated our imagination and replaced traditional faith based belief systems?’
